My name is Isobel Gill-Taylor. I am a Systemic and Family Psychotherapist who can work with individuals and families. I have worked in a number of settings: specialist education college for young adults with additional needs; social services working with teenagers and their families, and in the NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service. Having worked with social services for the past 5 years, I am currently leading a Reunification Family Therapy Clinic in partnership with Barnardo's Trust, working towards reunifying young people and children with their families in a planned and supported way.
I am informed by my training in Systemic and Family Psychotherapy; this approach focuses on the person in relation to their surroundings and systems (people) that support and inform them. This approach can be for individuals or with whole families to support healing following difficult experiences. I draw on many approaches within the psychotherapeutic field to work together towards change. I specialise in using Narrative Therapy to help children and young people make sense of their stories.
