Information
It will be the young person’s responsibility to register with a GP, Dentist and Optician; however support will be on hand to achieve this if required. Staff will prompt and encourage young people to complete these tasks within 10 days of the placement commencing.
Staff will also regularly review our young people’s health during key work sessions and will support and signpost them to make any necessary referrals to further health care professionals.
Additionally we will ensure our young people have the contact details of the following:
• The nearest NHS walk in clinic
• Drug and Alcohol services for young people
• The nearest accident and emergency department
• The nearest sexual health clinic
• Off the Record (counselling support service)
